Top Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps on iOS in Switzerland, Q3 2025

In the third quarter of 2025, the carpooling and ridesharing app market in Switzerland showed varied performance on the iOS platform, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at how the top five apps fared.

Uber - Request a ride saw its weekly downloads peak at around 9K in late July, before declining to approximately 5K by the end of September. The app maintained a weekly active user base ranging from 92K at the start of the quarter, dipping to around 63K in early September, and then rising again to about 82K by the end of the quarter.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a steady decline in downloads from 6.9K in late July to 3.4K by the end of September. Active users showed a similar trend, starting at approximately 52K in early August and decreasing to around 29K by the end of the quarter.

Grab: Taxi Ride, Food Delivery had lower download numbers, starting at 2.5K in mid-July and ending at 1.7K in late September. However, its active user base remained relatively stable, ranging from 106K at the quarter's start, fluctuating slightly, and closing at around 106K.

Freenow by Lyft - taxi & more showed a gradual increase in downloads, peaking at 1K in late July, then falling to 760 by the end of September. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 2.4K and ending at about 2.7K.

Finally, Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver maintained a consistent download rate, with numbers hovering around 700 throughout the quarter. Active users remained steady, starting at 11.8K and slightly increasing to 12.5K by the quarter's end.
